Core Responsibilities:

• Host veteran-specific outreach events  
• Partner with veteran-serving organizations  
• Promote culturally competent care  
• Provide transition support  
• Distribute resources  
• Honor veterans’ service  
• Encourage peer support programs 

Focus: Public education, outreach, and awareness campaigns
Duties:

• Plan and execute workshops, school programs, and community trainings (e.g., QPR, mental health first aid) 
• Create and distribute culturally relevant educational materials 
• Partner with schools, churches, and media outlets

Focus: Suicide prevention strategies for youth and young adults
Duties:

• Collaborate with schools, after-school programs, and colleges 
• Promote peer support programs and youth mental health literacy 
• Plan youth-led campaigns and student advisory boards

Focus: Engaging churches and culturally specific organizations
Duties:

• Host faith-centered conversations about suicide and healing
• Soul Shop / QPR training 
• Develop spiritual leader training 
• Highlight cultural stigmas and strengths

Focus: Promoting safe storage of firearms, medications, and other means
Duties:

• Partner with gun owners, law enforcement, pharmacies, and hospitals 
• Distribute gun locks, medication lock boxes, and storage information 
• Provide community education on lethal means safety

Focus: Planning and hosting events that promote prevention and healing
Duties:

• Coordinate events like walks, luncheons, candlelight vigils, resource fairs, and awareness days 
• Support logistics, volunteers, and partnerships 
• Help integrate fun and wellness-based activities with prevention messaging
